Poker Run

Bikers for Boobies began its existence almost 9 years ago. Shelley Martin, President of Bikers for Boobies, wanted to create something to help those diagnosed with breast cancer. It was October, and it was that time of year when lots of pink was starting to appear to bring awareness to the “cause.”

She brought her idea to her co-workers at The Dirty Dogg Saloon in Scottsdale, Arizona. Jack Estes, our Vice President and owner of The Dirty Dogg, thought it would be great to create a charity motorcycle ride, (called a poker run) that would raise money for those battling breast cancer. A few short weeks from that time, the 1st Bikers for Boobies Motorcycle run happened. There were 120 bikes that first year and our numbers have only grown from there. In 2014, we had over 1500 bikes and raised over $60,000.

In 2013, we were able to achieve official status as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the IRS.

In our close to 9 years, Bikers for Boobies has provided charitable donations to organizations including Casting for Recovery, M.O.M (Mobile Onsite Mammography) and Singleton Moms. In 2014, we were also able to donate 20 mammograms for local women through M.O.M. You can click on our Resources page to learn more.

Our vision is to promote education and awareness to anyone seeking information for themselves, or a loved one, diagnosed with cancer. Battling cancer, any cancer is a scary time. So many questions and uncertainties slap you right in the face. We want to help you find the answers you need.

We have recently begun to accept grant applications for those individuals here in Arizona, who are in need of some financial assistance while they are battling cancer. Please click on the navigation titled “Grant Application” to submit your application for a grant from our Organization.

Each year we strive to be able to touch more lives in a positive way as people fight the battle for their life.

We raise money and we ride, and we celebrate those that have looked cancer in the eye and stared it down and won. We also celebrate the lives of those that fought hard but are no longer with us. We party, we raffle off a motorcycle, and we also raffle off some other crazy items, ALL in an effort to raise money for those that need it.

Your participation, your donations, your time, ALL goes where it is needed, and stay local in our community.

Help us make a difference!!!
